Who we are and what this agreement is
Moxlearn is run by [to be confirmed before launch], [to be confirmed before launch] (“we”, “us”). When you use our website, quiz, learning app or certificate check page, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Moxlearn.
These terms work together with our Privacy Policy, Cookies and local storage page and Subscription, cancellation and refund terms. Where we offer Moxlearn to a company’s team under a separate agreement, that agreement comes first for that team.
Your account
- You must be at least 18 to create an account.
- Give a real email address and keep your details correct. Use a password only you know, and keep it private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- One account is for one person. Do not share it, sell it or let others use your membership.
- You can use Unit 1 and the quiz without an account, but then your progress lives only in your browser.
- Tell us right away if you think someone else has your password.
What Moxlearn is
Moxlearn is a set of short lessons, practice exercises, assignments and certificates about using AI at work. Lessons are for learning, not professional advice. We update, add and remove lessons from time to time.
We do not promise any result. We do not promise you a job, a promotion, a raise, new clients or any amount of income. What you get out of the lessons depends on you.
Unit 1 is free. Other units need a paid membership. The membership terms are on the subscription page.
The AI practice
- The practice console and assignment feedback use an AI model from Anthropic. The text you type there is sent to Anthropic to get an answer. See the Privacy Policy.
- AI answers can be wrong, out of date, biased or made up. The feedback on your assignment is guidance from an AI, not a grade from a person. Check anything important yourself before you use it, and do not rely on AI output for medical, legal, financial or safety decisions.
- Do not type passwords, health or financial details, client secrets or other people’s private information into the practice console.
- There is a daily limit of 40 AI practice calls per learner, and prompts are limited to 4,000 characters. We may change the limits.
- The AI is not available all the time. When it is not, you can check your own work against the criteria.
You own the prompts you write. AI answers are generated by a machine, and we cannot promise you rights in them or that they do not look like other people’s work.
Using Moxlearn properly
Please do not:
- break the law, or use the AI practice to make illegal, harmful, hateful, harassing or deceptive content;
- try to get around the daily limits, break into accounts or systems, or probe for weaknesses;
- copy, resell, publish or share lessons, videos, audio or other course material beyond personal learning, or scrape the site;
- pretend to be someone else, or put false information on your profile or certificate;
- send spam or unwanted messages through the team form or the contact form.
If you break these rules we may warn you, limit your use, or close your account. If we close it for a serious breach, we do not owe you a refund beyond what the law requires.
Your content
Your content means what you type or submit: prompts, assignment answers, your profile and messages. It stays yours. You give us permission to store it, process it (including sending it to the AI provider to answer you), and show it to our team so we can run and improve Moxlearn. You promise you have the right to submit it.
Certificates
A Moxlearn certificate shows that you completed a part of our course. It is a certificate of completion, not an accredited qualification, diploma, degree or professional licence, and no school, regulator or employer has approved it.
Each certificate has the title, your name, a date and a number, and a public link anyone can use to check it is real. Anyone with that link sees those details. The name on a certificate is fixed when it is first issued. Do not use a certificate in a way that suggests more than it is.
Our content and brand
The lessons, videos, audio, images, design, name and logo belong to us or to people who license them to us. We give you a personal, limited, non-transferable permission to use them for your own learning while you follow these terms. That is all. You may link to our public pages.
Ending your account
You can stop using Moxlearn at any time. To cancel a membership, see the subscription page. To close your account and have your information deleted, use the contact form and choose “privacy request”. We may close accounts that break these terms. Parts of these terms that are meant to last, such as the limits on our liability, carry on after an account is closed.
What we are not responsible for
We work hard to make Moxlearn useful and reliable, but we provide it “as is”. We do not promise it will always be available, error-free or fit your particular goal. AI output and third-party tools can be wrong.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost income, lost profit or lost opportunity, and our total liability to you for anything that goes wrong is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem. None of this limits a right you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived, or liability that the law does not let us limit, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by our fault.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. When a change matters, we will change the date at the top and tell signed-in learners before it applies to them. If you keep using Moxlearn after a change takes effect, you accept it. If you do not accept it, you can stop using Moxlearn and cancel your membership. A change to prices or renewal never applies to a period you have already paid for.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without taking away protections that the consumer law where you live gives you. If we cannot settle a dispute together, the courts of Ontario can hear it, unless the law where you live lets you go to a court closer to you.
If a part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.
