Fix your name before a certificate is issued

The name on a certificate is the name in your profile. If your profile has no name, Moxlearn uses the name on your account. If there is neither, no public record is issued.

The name is fixed when the certificate is first issued. Changing your profile later does not change a certificate that already exists, or its public verification page.

So check it first:

1. Open the You tab and your profile settings.
2. Set “Your name” exactly as it should appear on your certificate, then Save.
3. Earn the certificate.

If a certificate was already issued with the wrong name, there is no self-serve way to change it. Contact us with the topic “Certificate” and tell us the name it should have. We cannot promise a change before we have looked at it.
